After a quiet Sunday (no photos) we took a trip on Monday morning out to the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. It was originally a quarry and followed up as a waste site. Then around 1862 NapoleonIII decided to create a paek for the working class neighbourhood which had just been incorporated into Paris.
It is a interesting park, one I had visited when Uta was in hospital on our last visit to Paris. I was so taken with it then I had to take Uta to see it. Dare I say not many tourists get up there which I think is one of its attractions for me.
We spent all morning there after which w made our back back to the centre of town for lunch. We had a quiet dinner and evening. Dare I say it by this time in our trip we were all touristed out.
