I am starting with our latest trip to Europe starting in July 2019 and going for nine weeks.

It started off on a worrisome note in that our bags did not arrive in Paris with us. It' a long story, let it suffice to say we arrived in Paris on a Tuesday Morning and we finally got our bags on Friday evening.

We spent our first afternoon in Paris going to the shops and buying some socks underwear and a shirt. We were lucky in that our apartment had washing and drying facilities so we could recycle clothing rather quickly if needs be.

After a spot of shopping we made our way the the Luxembourg Gardens one of our favourite parts of Paris, where we enjoyed a cool drink on a warm afternoon.

After our stop at the Luxembourg Gardens we made our way back to the apartment after which we went to dinner in one of the bistros in the Rue Mouffetard area. We were actually the first customers of the evening in the place we went to. I'm not sure if the complementary Kir Royal was part of the deal or just a "thank you" for being the first.

The Bistro was in a side street of the Rue Mouffetard and it wasn't surprising to see tha same busker, with his piano accordion, wearing the same suit and hat in the same street as we saw him on our previous visit five years before.
