Our day started with a drive to Castle Howard, the location used for "Brideshead Revisited.

We spent the morning wandering around the castle and its grounds. We then progressed to the cathedral city of Rippon where we had lunch before heading out to the Lakes District.

Unfortunately the weather closed in and it rained heavily. We visited a cheese factory outlet in Wensleydale and sampled some nice cheeses. Unfortunately the weather did not permit any photography after lunch.
