Brussels then off to Dusseldorf

The next morning we had our breakfast and checked out of the hotel, although we were able to leave our bags there til train time, and when in search of the Manneken Pis. We wandered around looking for this famed statue which to say the least was singularly underwhelming when we found it. Our wanderings took us to the magnificent main town square where we visited a Beer Museum and the main city museum as well.

We had some lunch and wandered around and purchased some chocolate (what else would you buy in Brussels) headed back to the hotel.

We retrieved our luggage and made our way to the station to catch the train to Dusseldorf, where we were met by Marie Therese. It was good to see her again. I find it amazing that Uta and her have been penfriends for so long.
