On Friday morning we traveled out to the Palace of Versailles for the breakfast we had booked followed by beating the lines into the Palace. The breakfast was nice and beating the line into the Palace was an experience as some one tried to hijack us for some reason they wanted us to go through with them but we avoided that and made it through OK.
Versailles we believe it over rated. I thought that on my last visit 5 years ago when Uta was in hospital, but my feeling about the place was confirmed when Uta made the same comment to me during our visit. While the main palace was the disappointment, probably because of the crowds and the main exhibits being paintings and statues of dead people, the Grand and Petit Trianons were much more interesting.
The saving grace of the place are the magnificent gardens.
That evening while we were sitting in our apartment we got a phone call that something had arrived.
